H.O.P.E | Help Our community member's Powerful English
Originally pitched to the Home Run committee for a $5,000 grant, H.O.P.E aims to bring english education to the low income areas of Korea. This project is backed by Chadwick International and the district office; currently running as the IB MYP Personal project. We provide a unique 3 hour class that helps students to engage in English conversation that boosts their skills by more than 200%! We have been holding monthly camps for the past year and hope to keep it running.
Till now we have educated more than 200 students. By the end of 2024 we hope to increase that number to 500. Our biggest mission is to help fix the education gap that is the korean english education system. As I have had the privilege of studying english in a privileged environment I hope to give back to the community that made it possible by educating the future generation.
Humanitarian Aid Club | Founder and Leader (2023 Aug - Now)
Created by a middle school science teacher, we were initially formed to support and provide aid towards the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip; now, we aim to raise awareness about the issues that are apparent in today’s world. We do this by holding fundraisers and speaking in school-wide assemblies to rally support for various world issues.
